Why do I need to give Dialed microphone permissions?

Since Dialed uses VoIP (Voice over internet protocol) calling, we need to access your phone’s microphone so the person on the other end of your calls can hear you. We take your privacy very seriously and these calls are not recorded and the microphone is only accessed during an active phone call. If you are using iOS 14 you can use the new indicator dots (https://www.macrumors.com/how-to/when-app-uses-iphone-camera-microphone/) to verify when your microphone is being used. You should see an orange dot in the status bar when any app, including Dialed, is using your phone’s microphone.
